How we will contact you
How we will communicate with our parents?
We use the following ways to communicate information to you……
1. Text messages
2. Phone calls when necessary
3. Emails
4. Text Link Messages (Messages where there is a link that opens up letters etc when the link is pressed). These only work on SMART PHONES.
5. Written letters as required (Mainly for parental permissions, policy receipt letters etc anything that requires parents signature)
6. Monthly School Newsletters (Emailed, text linked, uploaded to website, linked to the school app on the FIRST MONDAY of every month)
7. Monthly E Safety Newsletters for Parents (Emailed, text linked, uploaded to website, linked to the school app)
8. Curriculum Information Newsletters for parents of pupils in Nursery, Years 1,2,3 and 4. These are to inform parents about what is happening in terms of the key parts of curriculum teaching for the whole term. These are photocopied and sent home with the children once every term.
9. Extended Schools Timetables and updates detailing available after school clubs for children in the school. These are sent out termly or as required . All clubs offered are funding dependent.
10. Every Year Group has events throughout the year to involve Parents and parents are duly informed and invited accordingly.
11. School App
12. Website
13. Social Media (Mainly Facebook, where we communicate mainly pupil success.)
14. Meet and greet at school doors, line up areas in the morning and at home collection time.
15. Parent Teacher Face to face Formal meetings or phone appointments (Parental Choice). These take place in November when the children have had the first half of the term to settle in and the teachers are getting to know the children much better and children are getting to know the staff much better! This is to keep parents up to date with pupil progress, set targets for the year and build relationships
16. Informal meetings throughout the year upon request where parents or teachers have concerns about pupil progress or information to be shared
17. End of Year Written Reports posted in June. This gives a final report on pupils academic progress plus a profile of overall strengths/ areas for development in school
Staff do work very hard to ensure that parents are kept up to date with pupil progress and they also appreciate it when parents communicate with them to update them about information concerning their child. All communications should be timely, kind and respectful. Please bear in mind that staff are teaching in class all day and only get a chance to answer emails / communications after school and before the end of the working day. We remain committed to working together to ensure the best possible provision for all our little children and know that when we are all “on the same sheet” the best outcomes will happen. We thank you most sincerely for your ongoing support, we value you and thank you for entrusting your children to our care.
It is a testimony to our strong commitment to each other that our children’s attainment is so high throughout the school and we are very proud of that. Go us as a team!!!
