Meet the PTFA Committee of our School. Heartfelt thanks to all parents for contributing in any way to fundraising for our school to get extra resources for each and every child in order to further their education but special thanks to our committee members who work tirelessly for every child in our school.
Join our PTFA….we need YOUR HELP!
Please read below a testimony from one of our members……. Before becoming a PTFA member, I will be the first to admit, I didn't realise the work that goes on behind the scenes to throw a school disco, to organise a visit from the Easter Bunny or to make sure Santa squeezes a journey to St Catherine's into his busy schedule in time for Christmas. I used to think a lot of it involved fundraising, and of course it does involve that but there is so much more to it. The meetings help connect you with other parents and with the school, you get to put your ideas forward and have your voice be heard. The part that has surprised me most is how rewarding it is, to see your child's face light up because you are volunteering in their school. The PTFA is always open to recruiting new members. The more the merrier so why not come along to the next PTFA meeting. (Maria Mc Grath)
Updates :
Our Fundraising Bottles in each class in school raised £305.63 and 24.49 Euro. These bottles have been placed here to collect any spare change to go towards our fundraising drive for this year.
This year, due to the current economic climate, we are trying to raise enough money to make sure that every child can go to the Millennium Forum Panto Trip to see CINDERELLA for FREE. This trip normally costs at least £12. Wouldn’t this be great? Please help us. Send in any lose change to our fundraising bottles. Also support the School Total Funfitness Event this month by trying to help your child FILL their sponsorship cards.
We will also be hosting our Annual Hallowe’en Film Treat Day in school.
Save the date :
Next meeting : Wednesday 5th October at 6.30pm in the Junior School.
St Catherines Primary School, 1 Newtownkennedy St, Strabane, County Tyrone, BT82 8HT
