As you may be aware, children no longer sit Eleven Plus Transfer exams in the PrimarySchool anymore.
If you wish your child to attend certain Grammar Schools, it is now the responsibility of the parents to enrol their children for examinations to gain entry to these schools.

Thornhill Girls College, Derry
St. Columb’s Boys College, Derry
Loreto Convent Grammar School, Omagh
Christian Brothers Grammar School, Omagh
AQE Assessment Examinations
Strabane Academy Controlled School, Strabane
Parents must register with the preferred Post Primary School for their children to sit the exams, arrange their own tutoring (if you wish) and then take the children to the Post Primary Schools to sit the exams which take place usually in November.
If you wish your child to attend Holy Cross College after Primary School your child does NOT need to sit any examinations at all and therefore you do not need to register your child for any examinations. AQE Registration opened up on Wednesday 1st May and will close on Friday 6th September 2019. GL Assessment opens up on 14th May and closes on 21st September 2019.
